Follow-up to Support Our Troops Post

I wanted to put out an update on my brother in law. He has been in Iraq for the last year and just flew in to wisconsin yesterday. Thank goodness for a safe return. It was not a smooth return though. Two weeks ago as his group was getting ready to return his battalion took a casualty.

He and some friends had just finished playing poker in the barracks. He left and returned to his room next door. There was a mortar attack and one landed in the room he just left 2 minutes earlier. It killed one of the guys he was playing with and injured a few others. Shrapnel came through the wall of his room and just missed him.

These things always happen when you are getting ready to go home. He has had some trouble sleeping since. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers that he is able to get over this scare and get his life back on track as he returns home shortly.

He has been away from his 5 year old boy Conner for the last year. He has been raised by his grandparents for the last year as his mother walked out on him and his dad. He has started school while his father was away as well.

Classified Ads to Drive Traffic to you Website

Worked all night long. Submitted my webpage and my bonanzle store to a bunch of directories and search engines. Hope it drives more traffic.

If anyone out there needs to drive more traffic to their website, try classified adds. It is inexpensive and sometimes free. I work with inetgiant.com. They submitt your add using all the major classifieds.

I pay 11.99 a year and they guarantee me 100,000 impressions every month. I have drawn a lot of traffic from this alone. Think about it, thats possibly 1.2 million people seeing your add each year. Not bad.

Gotta go now. Check out my big sale this weekend at http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/foitenterprises.

Everything in my store will be 30% off. 3100+ items to choos from.

What have I been doing?

Sorry it has been so long since I posted. It has been very busy for me. It is a little late, but Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there.

I have recently updated my booth at bonanzle.com. All are welcome to check it out at http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/foitenterprises. I While there please check out the forums and say hi. Everyone is so nice and will answer any questions you may have. If you are not aware all items in my booth have been reduced 35%. And will remain at this discout. I know, this sounds crazy. Maybe it is. But, if I can sell more at a lesser price instead of less at a higher price, maybe I can make up some losses this year due to the economy. Business is not what it was in past years. I have added 75 new items to this booth as well.

I have been working a little more on my website as well. Please check out http://www.getsportsstuff.com/. Please let me know what you think so far. It still needs a lot of work. I did get some links established with other similar businesses if someone cannot find what they need on my website. I have also set up a sitemap to help search engines find me easier and listed my products on google base. Hopefully all of this will allow people to start finding this young website while I continue to add more product and information.

Thanks to all those that have kept up and been reading my blog. I may not always have anything interesting to say. Like today. But it has been a while and I wanted to keep everyone in the loop as to some of the thing I have been working on.

See you all next time...

Random Thoughts...

Face book is great! Made many new friends and run into many old friends I haven't seen in years.

What makes a mother abandon a child? My Brother-in-law's wife left him and their child about 3 years ago to be with her friends. He got a new job paying him double what he was making if he moved to Pennsylvania. He and his wife went out with some of their things. His wife came home to close out their apartment in Ohio and when he went to meet her at the airport for her return she never showed up. He called to find out where she was and she said she was not returning and he could keep their son. Now he has been in Iraq and his parents are watching his son. He returned last week for 2 weeks and has to come back to Ohio just to get her to sign divorce papers because she does not have the time to sign and send them back. I don't understand...

Tweetdeck is cool. I can follow twitter and facebook updates made by my friends and followers.

My boss is cool. We just created a positive customer experience and it will turn into new business and continued business with the customers existing account. I love it when I can help somebody. Makes the job worth it.

Everyone should check out Bonanzle.com. This is an Ebay alternative where the customer service aspect of the business is top priority. Unlike anything you have ever seen. When you visit a sellers booth(store) you can live chat with the seller if they are on at that time. This provides and awesome customer experience. As close to face to face interaction as you can get online.

See you next time...

Support Our Troops

My motto this week is Support Our Troops. I believe in this as they are over there to make us the great country we are. Whether you believe in the reason we are there or not, the fact is, we are.

My brother-in-law is serving there now. In fact he just returned for the next 2 weeks. When he returns he will be moving closer to baghdad. He will be posted at Camp Victory. Although this is a very cushy base to be at, there is still lots of danger. Please take some time out of your day to pray for all of those risking their lives day in and day out so we may continue to live as we are accustomed. Get together and just send a single letter to somebody over there. They will love it. It please visit http://www.anysoldier.com/ for more information on how you can help. There you will find instructions as to what and where you can send.

Please check this page out and help all those that work everyday to help us.

Thank You,

Jason Foit

It's A New Week

It has been a few days since my last post. I had a lot going on this weekend. My sister in law had a birthday and my wife made her a cake and some homemade pot pie for dinner. It is her favorite. I also took my kids to see 2 movies. The new X-men Origins: Wolverine and Star Trek. They loved them. I now think I have seen more movies at a theatre this year than in the last 3 years combined. I also had a good time helping out at the antique show I was working. There were a lot of interesting things to see. I even helped a lady move in a 700pound statue. It took 4 of us to pick it up to move. Whew!!!

And a good start to the week so far. I made a couple of sales. I recently added about 145 items to my Bonanzle booth. Please check them out. I have a bunch of womens jeans I amtrying to get rid of and am offering them at 9.00 with free shipping. Check them out.

Let me know what you think.

Day 2

Nice to see we have some followers today. Thank you. I had an interesting start to my day. I left my other job at 6:30 yesterday morning and drove to Granville, Ohio. I am helping set up some booths at the antique show this weekend. I drove 45 minutes to get there and stood around for 2 hours. Nobody showed up. They changed the time for us to get there without notification. I had forgetten that I had to take my wife to work and my neighbors to the airport. So I left. Drove 45 minutes back home and took my wife to work. What a waste of a morning it was. I never did get to help set up any of the show. Oh, well, I will be there all day sunday during the show and will help everyone tear down and pack up.

I did manage to get something done. I sent out 4 e-mails to our local news here. The point of the e-mails is to have them do a story on Bonanzle.com. This being the fastest growing *bay alternative. The fees being so much less than*bay making it easier on us. Times as they are we need everything we can get as small business owners. Also, hoping this will bring awareness and some good publicity to Bonanzle. Anything to help build business and help me get away from the bay.

Oh, by the way if anyone is interested in video games and accessories, I do have items in my booth at a 30% discount if you spend 100.00 or more or on any purchase if you use coupon code 30 percent at checkout. My booth address is:

http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/foitenterprises.

Please check it out if you can.

I have to go for now. Talk to you tomorrow.

My First Blog!!!

Hello. This would be my first blog but not the last. I am at work now, but getting off soon. I have to drive to Granville, Ohio after work. I volunteer to help set up booths at antique shows from time to time and one will be in town this weekend. That is where I will be. It is always fun to meet new people here and you always get to see interesting items.
After that I will probably go home and go to bed. My youngest boy Kevin gets home about noon from school.

Everyone should check out Bonanzle.com. This is the friendliest community you will ever meet. I have a booth at www.bonanzle.com/foitenterprises. I would encourage all to check out this internet marketplace. We are growing very quickly. If you take a look at the forums they have you will see what I mean by community. I have never been apart of a group that works together so well and helps and supports each other. I have about 200 items listed currently. The items are primarily video games and accessories. There will be more to come in both tools and electronics in the future.

I also welcome you all to visit my own webpages at:

www.getsportsstuff.com
www.foitsmall.com

Check out my products and see if there is anything you would be interested in.

For now I have to go. See you later.
